Event Details

Join us to pack food for NW Harvest and Food Lifeline in conjunction with Rotary First Harvest.  You don't need to be a member to help out and make a difference.  Once a month (on the 4th Saturday of the month) dozens of Rotarians from clubs all over Seattle volunteer to repack large bins of donated fresh food into family size portions. This is a meaningful opportunity to help out and get your kids involved as well.  Coffee and donuts are typically provided for volunteers.  There is plenty of parking at the warehouse.

Date: Saturday, Jan 26, 2013
Time: 9am- 12 noon
Location: Food Lifeline Warehouse

1702 NE 150th St, Shoreline, WA

Please wear warm clothes since we will be in a warehouse environment.

Children starting at age 6 are welcome to volunteer as well.

Note:  Our club normally meets on Friday mornings for breakfast at the Center for Wooden Boats.  Have a bagel and a cup of coffee on us. Please feel free to find out more  at http://www.eventbrite.lakeunionrotary.com

Lake Union Rotary Club

We're one of the youngest Rotary Clubs in Seattle and the only floating Rotary Club in the US. Our Friday morning meetings at the Center for Wooden Boats are fun, inspiring and educational. If you're passionate about helping our local community or work hands-on on projects, we're the club for you.  Visitors are always welcome. Due to our unique location, we are very fond of clean water projects both locally and internationally.  If you work in the Lake Union neighborhood, it's easy for you to walk to work on Friday mornings

Rotary is an international organization whose objective is to foster service and help build goodwill and peace. in the greater King County area there are 55 clubs, including Rotary Club of Lake Union.
